Oppositional bloc "Azadliq", "National Unity Movement" and "National Independence Party of Azerbaijan" held today an unsanctioned protest rally.

The rally is over. Opposition states that police arrested about 20 of its followers.

A group of representatives of Blinds Association and a group of women arrived at the rally spot. To more men are arrested. One of police officers using megaphone is requesting the protesters to leave the square.

The number of arrested has reached 7 people. Groups of 5-7 people are sporadically shouting "Freedom" and "Resignation". Police is not using force to disperse the protestors.

A group of ten people standing near the cinema started shouting "Resignation" and "Freedom" slogans. Police forced out the demonstrators to the nearest Aga Neymatulla Street and has detained some of the protestors.
Six protestors were arrested.

Opposition ignored the Baku Mayor Office’s proposal to hold the meeting at the Motodrom stadium. Law enforcement units are concentrated at Nariman Narmanov square, traffic at the intersection of the adjoining to the square in front of the Narimanov cinema streets, Aga Neymatulla and Tabriz, has been completely stopped. The police forces have blocked the Narimanov park, and city-dwellers are not let in there. Representatives of some foreign diplomatic missions are currently present at the square.
