“The Public TV needs 3.6m manats per year to broadcast to 95% of the country.”
Ali Abbasov, the Communications and Information Technologies Minister, told Trend about it.
The Minister noted 30 bn manats of 124bn manats allotted by Azercell as dividends were directed to improvement of the infrastructure of the TV.
Abbasov said that he was worried about the rise in price for energy and decrease in price for services. “Salary and profits increase in the country, but the figure may grow at the expenses of expansion of the infrastructure in the communications,” he underlined.
Abbasov also stressed that if the sphere is not be expanded and the Ministry does not receive incomes, they will have to increase certain prices. The Minister proposed to the government not to take dividends from the Communications and Information Technologies Ministry, but direct it to development of the telecommunications.
