The appeal made by the “Azadlig” bloc to the Executive Power of Baku city on holding a rally on 1 October has been responded.

The Mayor’s Office did not authorize the rally on any of 6 routes shown by the opposition and suggested 5 routes for holding the rally.

According to the information given to APA by first deputy chairman of ADP Serdar Jalaloglu, the executive power of the city suggested to hold the rally in the following  possible places: in front of  former “Gabala” cinema, Motodrom (motor cycle racing track), Ukraine square, Fahla square and square of “Azeroilgas” Production.

According to S.Jalaloglu, the bloc is not indenting to hold a rally in any of the above mentioned squares and the decision of the Mayor’s Office is against the constitution. Therefore, the bloc did not change its mind on holding the rally in 28 May square.

S.Jalaloglu noted that, the authority is responsible for the possible confrontations during the rally. They sent warning letter on holding the rally, meeting the needs of the Constitution. The bloc is going to hold the rally by marching on three routes as it was in the 25 September rally.
