The 3rd meeting of GUAM member states (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova) heads of borderline services took place in Baku yesterday.

The guests visited the tomb of the late President Heydar Aliyev and Martyr’s Alley first. A meeting was held in the Central Office of the State Borderline Service (SBS) later on.

The issues concerning the directions of further cooperation between the borderline services, security of transport corridors, uniting efforts in the struggle against international terrorism, extremism, separatism, smuggling of weapons and narcotic drugs, illegal migration, and other kinds of crimes were discussed in the meeting.

Besides, the sides exchanged views on exchanging information experience between GUAM borderline services, cooperation and experience in the field of ensuring security of export oil-gas pipelines and other issues of mutual interest.

The sides signed the protocol of the third meeting of GUAM member states borderline services.
