“No person, bloc or party can hold a non-permitted action. The internal affairs organs will prevent such actions”.

This was declared by the minister of internal affairs Ramil Usubov.

The minister informed that 185 places were appointed for persons who put their candidacy forward from 31 Election Constituencies only in Baku. Candidates can meet their electors in those places. The minister also said that they will not permit establishing of orange tents in non-coordinated places.

R.Usubov asserted an explanation by his deputy Vilayat Eyvazov about radical opposition’s providing its supporters with weapons. He informed that the opposition is preparing to elections thoroughly and wants to form mobile forces: “These forces are distributed different weapons. I declare that any illegal action will be prevented”. The minister informed that the court sentence on announcement of the arresting quest on the former speaker Rasul Guliyev remains in force. He said that the former speaker had misappropriated $ 120 million of oil income and he even knows the names of the persons bribed by the ex-speaker: “When one police associate takes 1 “shirvan” of bribe they set up a clamour that the authority is engaged in bribery and corruption.

However, Rasul Guliyev misappropriated great amount of the state property. If he is guiltless, let him come and sit in a prison and prove his guiltlessness. Because Rasul Guliyev committed these actions before the registration of his candidacy, execution of the court sentence on his arrest will be ensured”.

The minister also stressed that identity cards will be given to all citizens till 1 November. The minister saying that the period of keeping the weapons distributed to the parliamentarians ends today informed that 30-35 deputies have got the weapons.

“I think that the tranquility was ensured. There is no danger for the life of any parliamentarian. That is why they do not need to carry the weapons. We decided to confiscate the weapons from the parliamentarians. Carrying of the weapons by those persons resulted in displeasure and anxiety of citizens sometimes.  We appealed to them and many of them returned the weapons to us”.

R.Usubov also expressed his attitude to the question of detection of grenades in the editorial office of the “Azadlig” paper.

The minister said that investigation is held in this connection and informed that the initial supposition of the investigation is the version that the weapons had been put in the editorial office by the associates: “This question is under our control. I consider that this matter was intended for the purpose of political, pre-election boom”.
