The next meeting of CIS Foreign Ministers’ Council started in Moscow yesterday.
According to the information given to APA from Russian Foreign Ministry, 13 issues were included to the agenda of the meeting.
The Ministers will discuss the improving and reforming the CIS, declaring 2006 as Year of Commonwealth of Independent States, declaration of the CIS heads of states on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the UNO, addressing of the heads of states to the world nations on the 20th anniversary of the accident in Chernobyl atomic station, issues on education, organized criminality and other dangerous kinds of criminality, fighting against human trafficking in the CIS arena, command of collective force on keeping peace in Abkhazia.
Decisions will be adopted on expanding cooperation with the CIS executive committee Black Sea organization’s permanent international secretariat, the international center on development of migration policy, and the UN program on population settling in the end of the meeting.
The Minister will affirm the agenda of the CIS Summit due to in Kazan on 26 August, fix the date of the next meeting of the council. It must be reminded that, Minister for Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov left for Moscow yesterday to attend the meeting of the council. Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov who had left for Moscow together with him attended the meeting of the CIS deputies Foreign Ministers yesterday.
The head of foreign policy office of Azerbaijan will hold the next round of the talks with his Armenian counterpart Vardan Oskanyan on the regulation of the Upper Garabagh conflict in the frame of Prague process tomorrow.
