The parliament and the Azerbaijan society express their extremely negative attitude to activity of some Canadian companies, contradicting to norms of the international law.

According to agency Trend, Azerbaijan ambassador to Canada Fahraddin Gurbanov stated about this at his meeting with the Chairman of the Chamber of representatives of this state Peter Milliken.

The concern of the Azerbaijan government in connection with intention of the Canadian company "Buried Hill Energy" to participate at development of the structure "Kapaz" in Caspian sea, refusal of its management to conduct negotiations with the embassy was conveyed to the Chairman of the Chamber of representatives of this state Peter Milliken during this meeting.

Such concern was expressed due to activity of Canadian companies at Azerbaijan territories, occupied by Armenia. Taking as an example, the articles published during the last days in influential papers of this state- "The Globe and Mail", the ambassador underlined, the activity of Canadian companies, contradicting to norms international law, concentrates the attention as of Azerbaijan, so of Canadian press. F.Gurbanov stresses, namely due to this reason Azerbaijan parliament didn't endorse the agreement on withdrawal of double taxation between Canadian and Azerbaijan government.

The ambassador also informed, for further development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Canada, it is necessary to open the embassy of this state in Baku.
