Patric Hardoun deputy of NATO State Secretary on political and Security matters, held press conference in "Europe" hotel, which is in two days visit in Baku.
P.Hardoun stated that, North Atlantic Ally increase attention to South Caucasus countries, as well as to Azerbaijan. He particularly mentioned the decision adopted in NATO summit held in Istanbul the interest of NATO to South Caucasus.
P.Hardoun touched in the conference held on the subjects "Economy, security and defense. Security aspects of macro-economic stability and structural reforms, including managing of existed resources defense". Appreciating the conference to be important measure in the field strengthening of NATO-Azerbaijan cooperation, P.Hardoun noted that in the conference, representatives of 15 countries, as well as representatives of NATO member countries or supporter countries, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Defense and Economic Development Ministers representatives took part.
The main problems discussed in the conference were free economy and macro-economic sphere. Allocations to military security and watch on them were also discussed in the conference. The guest, noting NATO to be for the stability in South Caucasus, said that the conflict in the regions impact negatively on all the matters. He mentioned that the organization he represents is not busy directly with Upper Karabagh conflict, announced that he supports all the initiatives in settling the problem in peaceful way.
P.Hardoun stated that some allocations have been taken into consideration in the field of management and development of this sector." These aids will be increase of experts' knowledge, exchange of experience and.etc.."
The objective of NATO cooperating with Azerbaijan is establishing steady atmosphere and improvement: "NATO doesn't want to see hot spots in the world map, wishes improvement through developing democracy".
