NATO is ready to provide the security of Baku-Tbilisi- Jeykhan (BTC) oil pipeline, Patrick Gordowin, Deputy Secretary General of the Alliance on region, economy and security told the journalists on February 3, Trend reports.
According to Gordowin, the Alliance is ready to provide the security of BTC, by the common agreement of the participant countries. He noted that, during the 2-days regional seminar ‘Economy, security and defense - the security aspects of macroeconomic stabilization and structural reforms, including management of resources available for defense' in Baku, the danger opportunities on BTC was considered.
According to NATO representative, the Alliance is also ready to appear technical support to the participant countries of BTC and protect the pipeline from any dangers.
