Baku's transport infrastructure will be fully prepared for the conduct of song contest Eurovision-2012 to take place in Azerbaijan in May 2012, Sadraddin Mamedov, Head of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry's Economy and Transport Policy Division, reported on Thursday.
He said the Transport Ministry made suggestions over preparation of Baku's transport system for the contest, and plans to make the whole transport infrastructure ready for that date.
Particularly, a lot of parking lots will be built at Baku streets to provide traffic relief. A parking lot at the Azadlyg Square, which is being built by the Executive Power of Baku, will be put into operation by the date of Eurovision-2012, Mamedov said.
