French-speaking Switzerland just announced its selection of 27 contestants, and one Canadian has made the group! More than 20 years after Céline Dion, Katherine St-Laurent is in the running to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the beautiful song "Wrong to let you go"!

Eurovision is the biggest song contest in Europe. Every year since 1956, this popular event is broadcast on television sets all across the globe. Switzerland is the only country that accepts international contestants.

The last time Switzerland won the Eurovision Song Contest was in 1988, represented by a young Quebecer then little known in Europe, who went by the name of…Céline Dion. More than twenty years later, Katherine St-Laurent is on her way to achieve the same feat. A truly talented artist with a promising future who has a young but remarkable career to prove it!

A first round of voting is taking place online until October 20 and will decide the 3 contestants that will have the chance to participate in the national finale on December 10. The winner will go on to represent Switzerland in the big contest held in Baku, Azerbaijan in May 2012.

Katherine St-Laurent is counting on your support to help her represent Switzerland at Eurovision 2012, but also to promote Canada's artistic talent in Europe and all the way to the Middle East!

Once again, this Canadian Idol finalist is daringly displaying her big ambitions, this time by going beyond borders. Her first eponymous album, launched in May 2011, has garnered much praise from critics.
