Famous Azerbaijani jazz musician Vagif Mustafazadeh would turn 70 this year.

Vagif became a laureate at the Tallinn 66 Jazz Festival. Annually the Association of Turkic and Caucasian peoples of Europe (TKREA), organizes a music parties to commemorate outstanding men of arts.

This year TKREA will host an evening dedicated to Vagif Mustafazadeh. The event was held at the library of Academy of Sciences in Estonia. President of TKREA Yagub Yagubov and Head of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center of Estonia Niyazi Hajiyev welcomed the guests. Vagif Mustafazade's jazz was the first to be built upon the native music of the East.

The biography of Vagif Mustafazadeh is associated with Baku, Tbilisi and other cities, where he performed and won various music contests.

He won the first prize at the 8th International Competition of Jazz Composers for his composition "Waiting for Aziza" in Monaco in 1978 and awarded with white grand piano. Vagif Mustafazadeh received a title of Honored Artist of Azerbaijan and after his death, Azerbaijani State Prize.
