One claims she’s the queen of pop, the other the king of bling, but there was room for only one showbiz monarch when Madonna and rap mogul P Diddy battled it out at her Oscars after-party.
The showdown between the two superstars kicked off when Diddy got into a yelling match over who had the biggest music legacy. Ooh, bad move Diddy.
That was enough for party girl Madge to reportedly get into a shouting match at her shindig as she exchanged words with the rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs.
‘Diddy and Madonna were yelling at each other about who has a bigger impact on the music world,’ a guest revealed at the swanky bash, which was co-hosted by Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary.
The rivalry in front of Hollywood’s A-list guests started out ‘in a funny way’ but ended with the pair reportedly yelling at each other. Of course Madge would never go down without a fight.
The material mum, 51, marched over to her waiting dancers to silence her 40-year-old rival’s claim to the music throne.
‘Madonna and her dancers all had a dance-off in the middle of the party!’ one insider claims.
The light-hearted spat will dent Madonna’s latest vocation as a conflict mediator.
The twice divorced singer took centre stage on US TV show, The Marriage Ref, where celebrities try to diffuse rows between squabbling husbands and wives.
