With great success, Giuseppe Verdi's opera "Il Trovatore", considered a jewel of the world opera stage, was presented at Baku Music Academy's Opera Studio, Azernews reports.

The production, performed in Italian with its dramatic plot and masterful singing, played to a full house and left a vivid impression on the audience.

The opera tells the complex story of love, revenge, and betrayal: the young knight Manrico and his beloved Leonora face intrigue and hostility centered around Count di Luna and a dark secret from Manrico's family. The plot is filled with passion, drama, and tragic twists, as the characters undergo trials that test their love and loyalty.

The performance was delivered with a high level of professionalism under the direction of the Honored Artist, conductor Ayyub Guliyev, with the participation of the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.

The stage director of the production was the Honored Art Worker Hafiz Guliyev, and the chorus master was the Honored Art Worker Sevil Hajiyeva.

Leading roles were performed by well-known figures of Azerbaijani vocal art. The role of Manrico was brilliantly portrayed by Honored Artist Farid Aliyev, while the part of Leonora was superbly sung by Honored Artist Afaq Abbasova.

The role of Count di Luna was performed by the talented vocalist Taleh Yahyayev, and the roles of Azucena and Ferrando were presented by Honored Artists Sabina Asadova and Anton Fershtandt, who won the audience's admiration with their vibrant performances.

The production also featured theater soloists Sema Hamzayeva (Ines) and Igor Yadrov (The Old Gypsy). The artists' performances were met with enthusiastic applause.
