By Laman Ismayilova YARAT Contemporary Art Space hosted lecture by Victoria Yakusha, Ukranian based designer and architect on February 9. Participants became familiar with current global trends of Interior Design and all the juicy tidbits of information about Paris Maison & Objet 2017. Ukrainian designer told about color and light nuances, considerations regarding selection of decor and materials and their compatibility. Besides, participants learned about Eco-Friendly Interior Design, use of natural materials, and one of main tendencies of Interior Design – laconic forms and wealth of textures. Victoria Yakusha is author of numerous residential and public interiors, CEO of Yakusha Design Studio. Yakusha Design was established in 2007 and since then, team of highly qualified designers has successfully implemented dozens of projects both in Ukraine, and abroad. Victoria has shaped her style under the influence of European understanding of Architecture and Design, and thus, is active in creation of modern spaces. Her main design approaches are functionality, conciseness and individuality. Projects implemented by Yakusha Design Studio has won awards of reputable competitions as InterYear and Architectural Awards, and one of the famous projects has been included in Best Home Design book, featuring 40 world’s best home interiors. The event organized as YARAT Freestyle project serves an open platform for everyone who looks to engage creatively with a broad and diverse audience. YARAT FREESTYLE aims to set up a scene for creative groups and individuals and is open to actors, dancers, performance artists, musicians and other cultural practitioners.
