The European Broadcasting Union has announced the voting results of the Eurovision-2012 song contest, eurovision.az website said today.
About 21 countries voted for Azerbaijan. The Swedish participant won the semifinal and final.
The European Broadcasting Union has announced the voting results on Eurovision-2012 two semi-finals and final. Thus, according to the voting results, the sequence of places in the contest among the 26 member-countries is as follows:

About 21 of 42 countries that participated in Eurovision-2012 song contest voted for Azerbaijan: Albania (4), Belarus (7), Bosnia and Herzegovina (7), Bulgaria (10), Cyprus (8), Macedonia (2 ), Georgia (10) Greece (5), Ireland (1), Israel (8), Lithuania (12), Malta (12), Moldova (10), Montenegro (5) Russia (10), San Marino (4), Serbia (3), Slovakia (6), Turkey (12), Ukraine (12) Great Britain (2).
Azerbaijan voted for Ireland (1) Cyprus (2), Ukraine (3), Lithuania (4), Greece (5), Romania (6), Sweden (7), Malta (8), Russia (10), Turkey (12).
All countries except Italy voted for the Swedish participant. Azerbaijan gave 7 points to the Swedish representative.
All countries except Switzerland voted Russia which ranked second.
Three countries - Iceland, Switzerland and the Netherlands voted for Norway which took the last place in the contest.
The European Broadcasting Union has also announced the voting results of the first and second semi-finals, held on May 22 and May 24. According to the results, Russia (152 points) won the first semi-final and the Sweden (181 points) won the second semi-final. Serbia, ranking third in the contest, took the second place in the second semi-final, gaining 159 points.
The voting in the Eurovision song contest is held on 50/50 principle (televoters and jury). The Eurovision-2012 Song Contest took place at the Baku Crystal Hall, built on the shores of the Caspian Sea specifically for Eurovision 2012. The hall seats 23,000 spectators and another 16,000 spectators were able to watch the contest's semi-finals and final live on big screens.
The television audience of Eurovision 2012 hit 100 million people in 50 world countries. The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest was 'Fire Flower', while the motto was Light your fire.
Representatives of 42 countries participated in this 57th contest.
Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
Sweden won the contest tonight in Baku, gaining 372 points for the song "Euphoria". Russia's Buranovskie Babushki with song "Party for Everybody" took the second place with 259 points.
Serbia's Zeljko Joksimovic with song "Nije Ljubav Stvar" settled for third place with 214 points.
Sabina Babayeva represented Azerbaijan with the song "When The Music Dies" and ranked fourth.
