An agreement on economic and technological cooperation a protocol was today signed within the 4th meeting of intergovernmental commission on Azerbaijan-China trade-economic cooperation.

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and Deputy Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng from the Chinese side discussed economic relations between the two countries and extension of these relations, works carried out after the 3rd meeting.

It was noted that trade turnover between both countries rose 50.57% to $926 mln. The export from Azerbaijan to China increased by 2.6 times, import – by 21%.

It was noted that economic-trade relations between the two countries developed day-by-day. Azerbaijan – having Social and political stability, rich natural resources, a favorable business and investment climate, is very attractive for Chinese investors. At present, several prestigious companies of China successfully function in information and communication technologies, energy, production of construction materials, transport, infrastructure and other spheres of economy in Azerbaijan.

Currently, mainly electrical equipment, various machines and mechanisms, chemical and textile industry products are imported form China to Azerbaijan, and in turn, oil and oil products, special-purpose engines, pharmaceuticals, and perfumes of different plants to use are exported form Azerbaijan to China.
