In Azerbaijan, a coordination group was established consisting of government representatives in order to fulfill the State Program on development of securities market in Azerbaijan in 2011-2020, the State Securities Committee (SSC) of the country reported. The State program was approved by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on May 16, 2011.
The first meeting of the coordination group was held on June 10 in presence of representatives of Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Taxes, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry OF Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Education, the Central Bank, the State Committee on Property, the Chamber of Auditors.
According to Chairman of SCS Rufat Aslanli, as a result of this State program, there will be established a securities market, providing opportunities for capitalizing the economy and meeting the international standards.
The meeting also discussed the mechanisms to implement the activities stipulated in the State program, views were exchanged on the ongoing work in this regard.
Following the meeting, each government agency was tasked to prepare a plan for activities in connection with the execution of plan of measures by the next meeting of the group.
