Azerbaijan Airlines has received Germany’s 2 Airbus 320 aircrafts, AZAL's head of service Maharam Safarli said.
According to him, AZAL has received 2 Airbus 320 aircrafts in December, 2010: “AZAL has received new two Airbus 320 aircrafts. In general, we’ll purchase 6 Airbus planes. 4 of them will be 320, 2 will be 319. AZAL has already received 4 Airbus 320 planes. 2 Airbus 319 planes will be brought to Azerbaijan in February”.
He also noted that adding of planes to the airpark of company will help to extend the geography of flights. Thus, new flights are expected to be launched after purchase of new aircrafts.
Note that, AZAL’s purchased Airbus planes were produced in 2007.
Remind that, AZAL has a contract with U.S Boeing Company and according to this contract, AZAL will change its new purchased two Boeing 737 Next-Generation aircrafts to a Boeing 767-300ER and two Boeing-767 (transport aircraft). In total, AZAL will buy 8 aircrafts from Boeing Company. Two of them will be Boeing 767-300ER, two – Boeing-767, two – Boeing-737 and two – Boeng-787-8 aircrafts.
