Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 5% or 1.8 billion manat in 2010 compared to 2009, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee reported. In current prices, the GDP indicator reached 41.6 billion manat. GDP per capital increased by 3.7% to 4653.3 manat ($5797.8).

The share of the non-oil sector increased by 7.9% in 2010 to 44.4% of the GDP, with 48.5 percent falling to the oil and gas sector and processing.

The total production volume in all sectors of the economy grew by 3.8% to 65.5% of the GDP, with 52.6% of the GDP (21.9 billion manat) falling to industries.

Agriculture, hunting and forestry provided 2.2 million manat in 2010, or 5.4% of the GDP. Construction provided 3.1 billion manat (7.5%), transportation and warehousing -- 2.5 billion manat (6%), communication and post services - 788.4 million manat (1.9%), wholesale and retail trade, automobiles, domestic products and repairs of personal-use items - 2.75 billion manat (6.6%), and social and other services - 4.9 billion manat (11.9%).
