The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee has released national trade figures for January-July 2009. Azerbaijan engages in trade operations with 126 countries, the committee reported.
The trade turnover of the country totaled $10.379 billion. The black ink in external trade operations amounted to $3.903 million.
In January-July, the country's export operations decreased by 79.4 percent or $27.55 billion compared to the same period of 2008 and totaled $7.14 billion.
The share of public sector in exports amounted to $6.745 billion (94.45 percent), private - $330.7 million (4.63 percent), individuals - $65.65 million (0.91 percent).
Imports dropped by 17.16 percent or $0.67 billion totaling $2.71 billion. The share of public sector in the import amounted to $874.49 million (27.02 percent), the private sector - $2.206 billion (68.13 percent), individuals - $157.18 million (4.39 percent).
In January-July, Azerbaijan exported 1,590 types of goods and imported 5,150 types of goods.
