Baku-Nakhchivan-Istanbul-Baku flight operated by Azerbaijan Airlines has been suspended. Nakhchivan International Airport told APA’s local bureau that few number of passengers caused this.
The Airport said Baku-Nakhchivan-Istanbul-Baku flights had been stopped temporarily. The flights might be restored in June.
Nakhchivan residents mainly go to the neighboring country by buses.
Baku-Nakhchivan-Istanbul-Baku flights were launched late in December, 2008. The flights were operated with Airbus on Tuesdays and Fridays. Single ticket cost AZN 186, return ticket (Nakhchivan-Istanbul and Istanbul-Nakhchivan) cost AZN 288.
