State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has begun works on waste metal collection after offshore oil and gas production.
SOCAR reports that joint venture SOCAR-ASM has started disassembling of hydraulic engineering structures in damaged condition at the Neft Dahslari and Grazevaya Sopka fields.
The works are being conducted at Base #2 and settlement #1 with involvement of 30 divers. Govsani port has been delivered 260 tons of metal. Work on cleaning of the sea from metal scraps is conducted in accord with the presidential decree issued in 2006.
At the end of 2008 Turkish vessel Bedirmax Ana was delivered to Baku to deal with collection of waste metal after production and control and cleaning of metal structures.
Bedirmax Ana came to Baku accompanied by supply vessel Ilqar Poluyev.
