The commodity turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia made $1,041,700,000 in the first half of 2008, in line with Russian statistics, said Russian trade representative in Azerbaijan Yuri Shedrin at a press conference today.
He said Russia is still on the list of leading trade partners of Azerbaijan, taking the second place on commodity turnover with a share of 13% in the total volume and leading on export (17.6%) by results of the last year.
"In January-June of this year Russia continues to lead among the suppliers of goods to Azerbaijan and has a diverse goods nomenclature", said Shedrin.
Russia's trade representative noted that by Russian statistics the commodity turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia made $1,722,400,000 in 2007, $1,641,000,000 in 2006 and $1,064,200,000 in 2005.
