"Sometimes, there is no information about fruits imported to Azerbaijan. Unidentified products in this type including tropical products like kiwi, pineapple and banana can be hazardous for health.
"It is recommended not to consume unidentified fruits which contain no information about production," Sabir Valiyev, official of Azerbaijan's Agriculture Ministry, told at a press conference amid the 13th Azerbaijan International Food, Drinks and Packaging Exhibition (InterFood Azerbaijan-2007). He said that Azerbaijan imports fruits most from Iran and Turkey and exports most to Russia and Belarus, adding that the quality of fruits produced in Azerbaijan is better than imports. APA-Economics
