A ceremony to present “Company of the Year-2012” national award was held in the Jumeirah
Bilgah Beach Hotel in Baku on December 5. This year saw 26 prize winners specializing in various spheres of business and economy. The list includes financial institutions, national corporations, as well as new players that entered the market this year.

Despite differences, all the organizations, which received the award, combine high profitability, sustainable position in the market and intensive development, while being oriented to the international standards of financial transparency and openness to information.

“Company of the Year” is a unique instrument, which evaluates companies not for their total successes since being established, but for the last year of their activities.

“We remain committed to the methods of selection of winners. The awards were given to the companies which recorded considerable an rapid growth, as well as to the companies which are the leaders in their own sector,” representative of the Organizational Committee, Ibrahim
Baghirov, told the awarding ceremony. “The list of nominees, once again, marked the tangible growth in non-oil sector of the country, which is a vivid manifestation of right and balanced economic growth of Azerbaijan,” he added.

“Company of the Year” award was founded in 2000 by influential business publication “Consulting&Business”. The award is given in the beginning of the last quarter each year.
