Azerbaijan`s state oil firm, SOCAR, and Japanese Sumitomo Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday.
The memorandum of understanding was clinched by vice-president of SOCAR on environment, Rafiga Huseynova, and head of Sumitomo`s pipe and steel products department, Tateno.
The memorandum envisages the conduct of joint researches on pilot environmental and gas projects.
