French authorities persuaded the Latin American countries and the world it tried to baffle in COP29, showing a so-called commitment to the COP30 to be held in Brazil next year.

The COP29 international climate change conference ended in Azerbaijan last week, during which Baku, the host city received more than 70,000 guests, necessary issues were discussed and poured into an action plan within sessions of the event, solutions were sought, and finally, decisions on the targeted finance were made with common consensus. However one would never imagine that the aftermath of COP29 could have been so much painful for some countries – France, for example.

From the very beginning of the event, several countries were involved in only political disputes, showering accusations, and groundless claims against Azerbaijan as a pretext of convicting Baku over the so-called suppression of human rights in the country. Let’s rewind the history a bit further – France, Germany and several EU politicians tried to libel Baku claiming so-called “ethnic cleansing” in Garabagh or demanding to release several separatist Armenians held in Baku prison.

As no powerful issue was found to hint at Baku, EU parliamentarians gave a spur to Armenian propaganda to boycott the UN Framework of Climate Change Conference.

First of all, COP29 began with France's betrayal of the Paris Agreement document, and this betrayal continued until the end of the event and even after the event. France, which sacrificed the international climate change conference to its own interests by politicizing it, is now blabbering about the results of COP29 and its contributions that no one has been able to see, let alone attend the event.

Meanwhile, France’s Minister of Ecological Transition, Energy, Climate and Risk Prevention Agnès Pannier-Runacher’s recent post on X social account caused laughter.

True to its neo-colonialist policy, France, indeed, destroys and then wants to rebuild something. Was it not France and the countries that supported it that wanted to see COP29 fail and try to make it achieve a zero result? The French minister should be sure that Baku, as the host, achieved the necessary result even without France’s participation in Baku. The world is no longer interested in what you will do in Belem next year. You showed your true face at the 29th COP in Baku, and it is useless to justify yourself by restoring the ruins you have left as a masterpiece in our world.

French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to the G20 instead of COP29 was a step by the French leader to present his country as a false climate hero in Brazil the following year. It is no longer a secret that its influence in Latin American countries is very low and that it was during Macron’s reign that relations between the countries became tense.

Through the ridiculous post of its minister, the French authorities persuaded the Latin American countries and the whole world it tried to baffle in COP29, showing a so-called commitment to the COP30 to be held in Brazil next year. However, everyone with common sense understands that both COP29 and COP30 are part of the world's core problem. The fact that France promised at COP30 what it could not do at COP29 was a ridiculous tale about the sun rising in the west, not the east. Paris did not keep its commitment and was imprinted in the memory of the masses with the shameful image it created at COP29.
