Azerbaijan plans to get more than 50 licenses for the summer Olympic Games in London, Azerbaijani National Olympic Committee Vice President Chingiz Huseynzade told Trend.

"Everything goes according to the plan," he said.

Huseynzade said that Azerbaijan usually gains permit in such sports kinds as wrestling, judo and boxing to take part in the Olympics.

"We are confident that number of our licenses will increase after the World Boxing Championship to be held in Baku on September 26 - October 10," he said. Huseynzade highlighted the Olympic licenses won by Azeri rowers.

"Rowing for Azerbaijan is a relatively new sport," he said. "But our rowers will already participate in the Olympic Games in London. We expected these licenses, as we had good results at the world championships. Everything goes according to the plan." The Azerbaijani Olympic national team won 16 licenses to participate in the London Olympics.
