Azeri boat racer books Olympic berth

Azerbaijani academic boat racer Natalia Mustafayeva has qualified for the 2012 London Olympic Games after winning the world championship in Bled, Slovenia.

Mustafayeva secured the Olympic spot after timing 7.43.43 seconds in the 2000m race. She ranked 9th in the overall medal table of the championship.

Mustafayeva booked the 10th Olympic place for Azerbaijan, with half of them coming from rowers.
