Azerbaijani canoeists qualify to world championship final

Hungarian city Szeged is hosting the licensed world championship in rowing and canoeing. The Azerbaijani Rowing Federation said that canoeist couple Sergey Bezugliy – Maxim Prokopenk reached the final in 500m distance.

At the preliminary stage the sportsmen timed 1 min 42,752 sec and ranked 2nd which made them go through to the final. Adnan Aliyev, in 1000 meter distance, ranked 4th and thus will perform at the semi-final.
