Ganja hosts Olympic Day of Running

The International Olympic Committee conventionally hosts Day of Running every year. The event was held also in Azerbaijani city of Ganja.

The City Office of the Youth and Sports reported that hundreds of amateur runners from different sport organizations came on the start line. The runners passed almost 1km and finished in front of the city Olympic complex.

Amongst men, representative of Ganja center "Tehsil" Taleh Mammadov reached the finish first while Gunay Gafuri came first amongst women.

The oldest amongst runners Sabira Sadigova, 80, also reached the finish line.

The winners were awarded diplomas and presents.
