Ali Shukurlu claims three medals at European Weightlifting Championship

Azerbaijani weightlifter Ali Shukurlu (109 kg) won three medals at the European Championship for youth and athletes under 23 years of age in Rashin, Poland, Azernews reports, citing the press service of the Weightlifting Federation.

The heaviest member of the Azerbaijani national team who participated in the competition won the silver medal by lifting 173 kg.

This time, the athlete lifted 201 kg in the clean and jerk event to win the bronze medal.

A. Shukurlu also finished among the top three in total weight, achieving a combined result of 374 kg (173 kg + 201 kg) and securing third place on the podium.
