Azerbaijan ranks 16th at World Summer Universiade

Azerbaijan ranks 16th among 170 countries in the overall medal table of 27th World Summer Universiade, which continues in Kazan, Tatarstan.

Azerbaijan`s medal haul includes one gold, two silvers and one bronze.
The gold medal came from weightlifter Firudin Guliyev. Female weightlifter Kristina Iova grabbed silver while, wrestler Ulviyya Karimova and judo fighter Mammadali Mehdiyev claimed silver and bronze medals.

Russia leads the table with 77 medals, followed by Korea and Japan.
