Falcao inks Monaco paper

01 June 2013 [11:16] - TODAY.AZ
Monaco has officially confirmed the signing of Radamel Falcao. The principality outfit's owner, Russian tycoon Dmitry Rybolovlev, put an end to the speculation surrounding what had become an open secret by spilling the beans at the club's end-of-season ceremony.

"We are absolutely delighted that Radamel Falco has accepted the challenge of coming to play for AS Monaco FC. We are proud to have secured one of the best players in the world", a club statement read.

The Colombian has signed a five-year contract with the club, and took to Twitter to give his followers the scoop about the move: "I want to officially tell all of you that I am joining @ASMFC_MONACO. New goals, new challenges! I know I can count on you to support me!".

'The Tiger' has become Monaco's fourth signing ahead of the new season, and the third big name to rock up in the principality, alongside James Rodríguez and Joao Moutinho. Monaco has forked out a whopping €130 million for the trio.
