
Representatives of the Azerbaijan`s Culture and Tourism Ministry, Gobustan State Historical-Artistic Reserve and Yanardag State Historic Cultural and Natural Preserve attended the 16th World Congress of International Union of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Sciences (IUPPS) in Florianopolis, Brazil.
Over 50 sessions were held as part of the congress. The sessions saw debates on modern monument protection standards, over rock art, application of information technology in development of archaeological heritage and other issues.
Director of the Gobustan State Historical-Artistic Reserve Malahat Faracova made report on archaeological landscape of Gobustan rock carvings in the Congress.
