Torrential rains and floods forecasted in Azerbaijan

Unstable weather conditions will dominate in Azerbaijan in the next few days.

Senior meteorologist of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Asif Verdiyev said that unstable weather conditions in Azerbaijan caused by Mediterranean cyclone.

Verdiyev said heavy rains were forecasted in all regions of Azerbaijan in the next few days. “Intensive torrential rains are forecasted in the eastern regions on June 25, which is expected to cause floods in the Great Caucasian Mountain area, Balaken-Shaki, Oguz-Gabala, Guba-Khachmaz regions”.

The rains will hold beginning from afternoon on June 25 and rainless weather will dominate on June 26.
