Traffic Police arrests 121 auto hooligans in Baku

The traffic policemen arrested121 auto hooligans in Baku from Jan.1 to May 15, Baku State Traffic Police Department spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Vagif Asadov said on Friday.

Based on the Article 296 of the Code of Violations Administrative, auto hooligans lose their driver's license for up to one year and pay a fine of 400 - 600 manat, Asadov said. Also auto hooligan may be deprived of a driver's license for up to one year and arrested for 10 days.

Asadov said auto hooligans roughly violate traffic regulations and endanger other road users, showing disrespect for society.

He said the police will conduct raids and take serious measures against them.
