Isgender Javadov to run for AFFA presidency

He told APA-Sport the pre-election campaign begins in September. He noted that he is not less educated than AFFA president Ramiz Mirzoyev.

"We made a big mistake by electing Mirzoyev as AFFA president in 2003. Our football has made no progress during last three years," he said.

He didn't agree with the opinions that he lacks the organizing ability. Veteran football player stated that he is in good terms with sport community. Noting to be conferred order of Honor, he said football society and clubs know him well.

"A football player has been elected UEFA president. Michel Platini was elected not for his money but personality. I think this factor will play a decisive role in my case as well," he noted.
