Minister: Int'l organizations take into account Azerbaijan's voice in adopting decisions

During the meeting of the Bureau of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Heritage of UNESCO in the organization's headquarters in Paris held under the chairmanship of the Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev, a presentation of the information about the eighth session of the committee that will be held in Baku on December 2-7, took place, the ministry's website reported on Tuesday.

During the meeting there was adopted a decision to aid Mali, Kenya, Vietnam and Uganda.
The minister stressed that international organizations already take into account Azerbaijan's voice in adopting such kind of decisions. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan chairs the meetings during which these decisions are adopted.

According to Garayev, various events organized by Azerbaijan's First Lady, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO Mehriban Aliyeva in UNESCO and France in order to increase the country's recognizability, allow to conclude that Azerbaijan's influence is at high level.

Garayev also invited the Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova to participate at the eighth session of the Intergovernmental Committee that will he held in Baku on December 2-7.
