Int'l seminar for elimination of violence against women due in Baku

The international seminar for elimination of violence against women will be held in Baku on May 7.

The event will be organized by Sahiba Gafarova, a member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, a member of PACE Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination and chairman of Sub-Committee on Racism and Xenophobia.

Experts and members of PACE committee on Equality and Non-discrimination, as well as Vice-Chairman of the Committee, the general rapporteur on violence against women and political coordinator of the network Mr. Mendes Bota will take part in the seminar.

The Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (Istanbul Convention) will be analyzed in the seminar.
