Azerbaijan owns one of most effective tax administration in Europe - UPDATE

Today, Azerbaijan is one of the countries in Europe with most effective tax administration for tax administration expenses, said Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov at the 2nd Tax Forum on

“Azerbaijan`s tax system: Realities and Perspectives”.
According to him, today, all processes in business activity between tax agencies and taxpayers were electronized and the entrepreneurs can realize all processes related to implementation of tax liabilities without any contact with tax agents.

“These information technologies caused reduction of expenditures for tax administration by both tax service and tax payers”, the minister added.

The Ministry of Taxes is a leader among the state agencies for number of e-services provided as part of the e-government project in Azerbaijan, said Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov at the 2nd Tax Forum titled “Azerbaijan`s tax system: Realities and Perspectives”.
According to him, the number of the electronic services in the field of taxes reached 57.

“Some 46 of them are applied, with preparatory work nearing end to launch the rest 11 services,” the Minister said.
