
The Science Development Fund under the President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (AMEA) and the Foundation for Fundamental Research of Belarus have announced the first international competition for a grant.
AMEA informs that the competition was announced within the framework of the agreement signed between the Azerbaijani Science Development Fund, the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences and the Foundation for Fundamental Research of Belarus.
The aim of the competition is to create additional creative possibilities for resolution of current scientific problems and promote to international scientific cooperation, support research projects on important scientific fields through joint Azerbaijani-Belarusian research teams.
Within the competition it is planned to finance through grants of average financial volume (from AZN 10,000 to AZN 100,000) international projects of fundamental-applied research in physical and mathematical and engineering, humanities and social sciences. The grants are intended solely for research teams, consisting of Azerbaijani and Belarusian scientists.
The competition also implies giving of small grants of AZN 10,000 and average grants of AZN 10,000 up to AZN 100,000 for projects including purchase scientific devices, and other equipment for the material and technical basis for research in Belarus by Azerbaijani scientists. Total financing within the first competition is AZN 600,000.
