First regional radio station opened in Azerbaijan

The regular meeting of the National Council for Television and Radio (NCTR) took place on Friday, the council informed.

Following a contest on opening the first regional radio station at the operating frequency 93.3 MHz covering Ganja and surrounding territories with participation of three candidates - LLC "Turkel TV" and LLC "Yevlakh TV", LLC "Kapaz independent broadcasting company" was announced a winner. A license for a period of six years was granted to the winner.

The meeting also decided to extend the period of the license for "Lider TV" Ltd and "Radio-Azerbaijan" for up to six years.
