Azerbaijan, UN eye social reforms

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Fuzuli Alakbarov on Thursday met newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator in the country Antonius Bernardus Broek. They exchanged views on prospects of cooperation between the Ministry and the UN.

Mr. Alakbarov briefed Antonius Bernardus Broek on socio-economical reforms carrying out in the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as improvement of the social security system, social programs. He also added that Azerbaijan was successfully continuing the cooperation with the several international organizations, as well as the UN.

Antonius Bernardus Broek, in turn, expressed satisfaction on developing relations between Azerbaijan and the UN, adding he would spare no efforts on further expansion of this cooperation.
