Over 60 kg of drugs seized by Customs Agency

The State Customs Committee (SCC) registered 207 criminal facts during January-September 2012, the committee said on Monday.

According to information, 151 facts were related to smuggling, 61 - to drug trafficking. Some 60.9 kilograms of narcotic drugs and 9.33 kilograms were seized during the reporting period. Three facts of the customs payments evasion were also registeren by the committee.

Some 241 people were detained as suspects on these crimes.

During the reporting period 10,611 facts of administrative offenses were also revealed, 98 of which are related to the smuggling attempt, 217 - with undeclared smuggled items, goods or money.
