Ecology ministry reports about current condition in rivers

According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources currently water richness holds 80-140% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region of Major Caucasus, 60-70% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 15-35% in Lenkaran Astara region rivers, while 60% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.

On October 8, 1cm increase of water was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 123m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 76% of decade norm (in 2011, 141m3/sec, i.e 87% of decade norm).

On October 8, no change of water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh river. At present water consumption holds 44m3/sec, i.e 46% of decade norm. (in 2011, 71m3/sec, i.e 74% of decade norm).

Currently water level holds 305cm (on October 8, 2011, 473cm) in Surra settlement, 168cm (on October 8, 2011, 381cm ) in Shirvan, 143cm (on October 8, 2011, 395cm) in Salyan, 197cm (on October 8, 2011, 273cm) in Banka, while 112cm (on October 8, 2011, 210cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
