
In the frame of the International Humanitarian Forum, a round-table on the theme “Modern mass media and new challenges” is being held in the luxury Kempinsky-Badamdar Hotel of Baku.
The agenda includes topics “World Policy and Social Networks in the Globalization Period”, “Humanitarian Aspects of Journalism in New Millennium” and “The Role of Modern Mass Media in the Dialogue of Civilizations”, each to be discussed separately in panels.
The first panel chaired by moderators – director general of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc) Aslan Aslanov, first vice director general of ITAR-TASS Agency Michael Gusman, and ex-foreign minister of Greece, MP Dora Bokayannis, will discuss the role of social networks in transformation of modern society and its impact on political processes at world scale.
The next panel meetings will focus on the role of modern journalism during activation of humanitarian problems, other media questions connected with the stable platform and inter-cultural communication channel in modern world.
