Emergency Minister visits quake affected region

Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, Colonel Kemaleddin Heydarov visited quake-hit country’s north-west region. K. Heydarov visited several villages of Zaqatala, Gakh and Balaken regions and became familiar with repair-construction works in the region.

The minister gave special attention to construction of schools and gave necessary instructions.

Two strong quakes occurred in Zagatala on May 7. More than 3000 constructions were destroyed and fell out. AZN 20 mln were allocated from the state budget for eliminating the consequences of the quake .
