Azerbaijani president opens new school block, inspects reconstructed orphanage - PHOTOS

Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev has opened a new block of school No 85 in Yeni Surakhani, Baku. The facility`s foundation stone was laid by the Head of State in July 2011. The three-storied block has 27 rooms.

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the facility. The Head of State was told that the facility would handle 480 pupils. There is a total of 840 pupils in the school No 85.

The President viewed classrooms, departments and laboratories in the new block.

President Ilham Aliyev has also inspected the newly-reconstructed orphanage and kindergarten No 268 in Bulbule district.

The Head of State was informed about the reconstruction work in the orphanage and kindergarten.

The building of the facility was built in 1989. There is a total of 240 children in 12 groups. All conditions had been created here after the reconstruction.
